What is User Testing

So let me start off with user testing

and proper details on how we earn money from it.

The meaning of User Testing is,

let's say I am a company and I have a website

so I would like to know your opinion, user's opinion

do you like my website and what improvements can I make in it.

For this

the company registers its website on a platform.

The platform that is used the most is called User Testing.

So on that website, they will register their website

and as a user, you will take a test,

this means, that you take a trial to check that website.

You will share your feedback

as to whether you're liking the website or not.

They pay you for giving this feedback because

on the basis of that feedback, they can improve their website.

This is what is called user testing

What Happens in a Test - User Testing

Now the question is what happens in this test.

When you are testing a website

your screen is being recorded

as well as your voice is also being recorded.

This means they want you to speak as well as

sharing your experience.

For example,

I like this landing page very much.

I like images like these.

Basically, you verbalize your thoughts

as you scroll through that website.

In some tests, they even ask you to turn on your webcam.

But it is not necessary in all tests.

Along with that they also give you directions before a test.

Suppose Amazon wants to conduct a test

and search for kids' clothes

and initiate the process of adding any of the clothing to the cart.

After that when the test is over

they also ask you some questions.

e.g. How was your experience?

Whether it was easy or difficult to use the website?

What else can be improved to make

your experience even better?

Skills Required - User Testing

The next question is that

which skills are required for this?

As I said earlier,

there is no requirement for any educational skills for this

The only requirement is that

you must be fluent in English.

Because when you are speaking while taking the test

you will express your thoughts in English.

Now the question is that

How to Start User Testing

how will you join this process of user testing?

As I have told you earlier that

there is a website called User Testing.

First of all, you create your profile there and complete it.

After that, you will link your account to PayPal

The third step is to verify your e-mail.

And the final step will be to take a practice test.

What happens after the practice test is that

all the tests you do later

when you experience the website

are paid i.e. you get money for that.

But to enroll on the website,

or to be eligible for the paid test

you have to take a practice test first.

This practice test is absolutely the same for every user.

How Much Can You Earn - User Testing

Now the question comes, how much do they pay you?

There was great input from Yash here

He mentioned that the pricing of the test

ranges from $4 to $90.

but how does it vary?

Generally, you are offered 1 dollar per minute

Most of the tests are for 10 dollars.

You have to test the website for 10 minutes

and you get 10 dollars.

Suppose you are testing a website for 1 hour,

in that case, you get 60 dollars.

But there was a very important point here

which was mentioned by Yash himself.

The tests which cost around 10 dollars

Payment For Recorded vs Live Test

are called recorded tests.

You do not have to talk to anyone

only the screen and your voice are being recorded.

But the tests that cost 30, 60 and 90 dollars

are called live tests

In these tests there is an agent of the company

who talks live with you on a Zoom call.

And he is present with you on the Zoom call

while you are testing the website

You are sharing your feedback live.

So there are 2 types of tests.

The payment for the live tests is higher

and for the recorded ones, the payment is slightly less.

In both ways, you can earn a lot of income in a month.

How Payment Will Be Made

All these payments will be made to you through PayPal,

which will be linked to your bank account.

And it will directly come to your bank account.

Like Yash is in 11th class

and any other person who is currently a minor

in that case, they can also link their parent's account

So that the payment can be received

because you will also have to give the details of your PAN card.

Now this question can also come to your mind that

Is There Anything You Have to Pay
