fix System32 folder taking up too much space

 If you're facing the issue of the System32 folder taking up too much space on your computer, here are some simple steps you can follow to fix it:

  1. Delete the OmApSvcBroker file:

    • Open the Command Prompt as an administrator by pressing the Win key and typing "cmd," then right-clicking on "Command Prompt" and selecting "Run as administrator."

 

 

 

 

 

    • In the Command Prompt window, paste the following code and press Enter to delete the file:
       
      schtasks.exe /delete /TN "\OmApSvcBroker" /f
    • Alternatively, you can navigate to the folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI\MSI NBFoundation service" in File Explorer and delete the "OmApSvcBroker.exe" file.
  1. Use the Disk Cleanup tool:
    • Press the Win key and "R" simultaneously to open the Run dialog.
    • Type "cleanmgr" and press Enter.
    • Select the Windows drive (usually "C:") and click "OK."
    • In the Disk Cleanup window, select the items you want to remove and click "OK" to start the cleanup process.
  2. Empty the Temp folder:
    • Open the Run dialog by pressing the Win key and "R" together.
    • Type "%temp%" and click "OK."
    • Select all the files and folders in the Temp folder by pressing Win+A.
    • Press the Delete key to remove them.
  3. Move larger files to another drive:
    • Open File Explorer by pressing the Win key and "E" together.
    • Navigate to the "C:\Windows\System32" folder.
    • Look for any large files or folders and move them to another drive to free up space.
  4. Uninstall unnecessary apps:
    • Press the Win key and "X" simultaneously.
    • Type "appwiz.cpl" in the Run dialog and press Enter.
    • Find any unnecessary large apps in the list and right-click on them, then select "Uninstall" to remove them from your computer.

By following these steps, you should be able to clear up space occupied by the System32 folder on your computer.
